Our family's motto has become "I can only control myself." We have to be witnesses every day, by our words and deeds. That's regardless of how we are treated. I feel that's the opposite of what a lot of people are doing nowadays, but we are commanded by Christ to be kind. You get more ants with honey, and it's easier to have conversations about Jesus when you are simply nice to people.
So true! I love the ants drawn to the honey analogy. Makes me think of the verse that talks about us being a sweet aroma of Christ to those who are being saved. (2 Cor 2:15)
