His Ways are Better
There was a popular song that came out in late 2024 by the hit Christian artist, Forrest Frank. You may have heard of it - “Your Way’s Better.”
It had a dance and everything.
My kids listened to it on repeat until they got every move right. Needless to say, it was on pretty much 24/7. You would think that I would get sick of hearing this song, but I was just blown away at how many people were listening that had no clue who Forrest Frank was or even listened to Christian music at all.
His way is better.
As 2025 rolled on, there seemed to be an awareness, or curiosity, developing towards the things of God. After the Charlie Kirk shooting, there were testimonies online and churches full of people returning to faith after years of being away.
People are waking up and believing that God’s ways truly are better for us.
His way is love. His way is joy. His way is peace.
If we are to be people of God living on mission for God, we must exemplify these attributes wherever we go. Otherwise, we are liars.
If anyone says, “I love God,” but hates his brother, he is a liar.
-1 John 4:20
God’s way is the best way to live.
God’s way isn’t always the easiest way to live.
Both of these things can be true at the same time.
As we enter 2026, it feels like the enemy has had to find new strategies to catch people unarmed for the spiritual battle.
My heart is burdened for people who claim to love God and His ways, yet who are living divided in their love for one another. They are harboring hatred towards people made in the image of God. They are unforgiving, slandering, resentful.
One of the areas that I continually pray for God’s power within me, is loving difficult people. It’s easy to love those who love you back — it is very difficult to continue to show love towards the ones who don’t.
If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them… But love your enemies, do what is good, and lend, expecting nothing in return. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High. For he is gracious to the ungrateful and evil.
-Luke 6:32; 35
I think the true test of whether we believe God’s ways are better, is what we do when His ways are difficult.
Jesus laid down His life for us… so that we can lay down our lives for others.
This is how we have come to know love: He laid down his life for us. We should also lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.
-1 John 3:16
The more I read about His ways… the more convicted I become to make this lifestyle more than a catchy song we sing. This is a daily act of worship.
Who are you praying for God’s help to love today?

Our family's motto has become "I can only control myself." We have to be witnesses every day, by our words and deeds. That's regardless of how we are treated. I feel that's the opposite of what a lot of people are doing nowadays, but we are commanded by Christ to be kind. You get more ants with honey, and it's easier to have conversations about Jesus when you are simply nice to people.
